"It's Tree Time" aims to inspire individuals to embrace the power of nature and actively participate in creating a greener and healthier city. Through our initiative, we strive to instill a sense of responsibility and encourage sustainable practices that will have a lasting positive impact on the environment.
Aatithya Foundation proudly presents "It's Tree Time" under our mission Beej, where we actively contribute to the greenery and sustainability of our city. Our dedicated volunteers have successfully planted over 3500+ saplings, nurturing them with care and keeping track of their growth. As part of our initiative, we also distribute seed paper, promoting a culture of active participation in tree planting. Each sapling costs 18 rupees, symbolizing the value we place on nature and emphasizing that the energy a seed generates during germination far outweighs the fleeting noise and energy of a firecracker bomb.
Apart from the profound philosophical message, our tree planting campaign offers numerous benefits to the environment and the community. These include:
Planting trees helps combat air pollution by absorbing harmful gases and releasing oxygen, improving the overall air quality in the city. Trees also act as natural carbon sinks, mitigating the effects of climate change.
Trees provide a habitat for various wildlife species, promoting biodiversity and creating a healthier ecosystem.
Tree roots help prevent soil erosion and act as natural filters, improving water quality. They also play a crucial role in maintaining water tables and reducing the risk of floods.
Trees provide shade and cool the surrounding areas, reducing the urban heat island effect and improving the overall comfort of the community.
Green spaces created by tree planting enhance the visual appeal of the city, positively impacting mental health and well-being. They create peaceful and inviting environments for people to connect with nature.
